Maxing out

The star of street style this fall is the maxi!  Everywhere I turn I see the maxi flawlessly paired with leather coats, utility jackets, and oversized cozy sweaters.  The way to successfully pull off the fall maxi is to respect proportions and make sure the maxi is the centerpiece of the look.

Black & White

Pairing black and white is basically the ultimate marriage of all things right.  These two opposites complement each other excellently, allowing for a multidimensional look that is also accessible.  So many interesting looks can be achieved with these elementary colors! So lets give a little more love to the perfect pair, black and white.

This combo allows you to wear white outside of its season and is perfect for transitional weather/seasons.

Blazer: Theory (last season, similar here), Pants: Gap (old, similar here), Top: Sparkle & Fade (old), Bag: Michael Kors (found here), Necklace: Anthropologie (old), Sunglasses: Ray Ban, Shoes: Aqua (old)

Another reason I like this look is that it can easily translate from work to happy hour or an evening event with just a switch of the shoes & accessories

Special thank you to Dzifa for his excellent photography skills!  Check out his blog here.

Red, White & Blue

Happy 4th of July!! The 4th of July is a wonderful day of celebration, normally spent by the pool or at the beach with a cool drink in hand and red, white & blue covering every surface possible.  The 4th can be a slightly scary day for fashion, with looks veering more towards costume than stylish.  Fear not though…there is a way embrace our patriotic colors and still look fabulous and impeccably put together.  I hope everyone has an amazing 4th of July, enjoys the fireworks, and embraces red, white & blue in the most fashionable way possible!

I am absolutely obsessed with these leggings and overall hipster grunge look!

Mint Tingle

I am paler than pale so I was slightly terrified of mint.  Pastels and pale are never a good mix or so I thought.  I wasn’t fully ready to commit at first so I experimented with mint nail polish and fell in love!  Somehow mint actually made me look tanner…it was like magic!  Not only does mint go with pale, it actually works with a surprisingly broad spectrum of colors and textures.  So I challenge you, find the shade of mint that works best for you and embrace the official color of spring and add some mint to your wardrobe!

perfect mixture of sheer, neon, and mint.  i also love the layered necklaces
