It’s almost Inauguration Day. A day the marks new beginnings and a day that in so many ways embodies hope. Hope that things will be better, that a divided Congress will rise against their differences in the interest of our country, and that progress (which is a very loaded word) will be made. All of this hope, thankfully, leads to celebration! This weekend is jam packed with Inaugural Balls that will be attended by the first family, high-level government officials, Congressmen, DC wonks, out of towners, and people simply looking for a good time. There is so much excitement surrounding this weekend and the biggest question on everyone’s minds is not about politics, but about fashion. The best-kept secret in Washington right now is who Michelle Obama will be wearing for the official Inaugural Balls and I cannot wait to find out the answer! Four years ago Michelle donned an incredible Jason Wu gown that catapulted him to fame and solidified her status as a style icon. The next question on ball attendees’ minds is what to wear! This weekend in DC is the equivalent to Hollywood’s Red Carpet Award’s Season and everyone wants to be on the best-dressed list! This past Tuesday, I had the honor of modeling an incredible Tadashi Shoji gown on CBS’s morning news in a Inaugural fashion segment styled by Carine’s Bridal and local fashion bloggers. Please enjoy the behind the scenes pics from the most glamorous morning of all time (our call time was 4am, yes you read that correctly) and find inspiration in these beautiful gowns and baubles!
