About

Garden of Glam is a compilation of my inspirations and experiences. I took a picture of an incredible woman on my walk home from work one day and she shared a special piece of wisdom with me.  Jewell (who can be found in my “working girl” post) said, “maturation means risk-taking informed by experience. I take fashion risks because I love fashion and I’m at a stage when I can afford to be wrong on occasion. It’s the only way to remain ageless, I think.” I couldn’t agree with her more! Obviously, I love fashion and I truly believe that taking risks and getting it wrong sometimes is what makes life much more interesting and the great things that much greater.  I hope my blog brings you inspiration and encourages you to take risks!

You blended those two peecis together so well that I could swear it was a dress. Love the peplum, not sure if I could rock it as well, but you look lovely. And that pink skirt is the EXACT same shade as a dress I just posted on my blog. I’m trying to figure out what to wear to a wedding, and I’d love your help!!

  3. love your pics and all the fashion exhibited here!! I am Diane Crawford (Chavis.) an old friend of your sister Erica (we lived in same neighborhood in Richmond and she and my sister Debbie Lickey were really good friends). Our children all played together and we all shared values, lunches, fun, stories, and little kid times!!! WE love Erika and continue to love to share experiences with all of her family. I love fashion and I have 2 nieces who stand at 6’1. I will show them your blog as I can see them enjoying and wearing many similar fashions. I wish you the best of luck and joy with this blog and your love of fashion!! say hello to Erika for me!!!
