Denim on Denim

The Texas Tuxedo (also known as a Canadian Tuxedo, but I am partial to Texas because that is where my mom is from) cycles its way in and very far out of style, luckily it is IN (in all caps) this spring.  Like all cyclical trends the key to success is taste and fit.  If something is done tastefully it never goes out of style.  Denim on denim can be tricky and if done incorrectly can get a lot of judgmental stares, but when done right it is absolute perfection!  The trick? Making sure the denims do NOT match!  Go with two different shades and you are set for success.  This is also a gender neutral trend so to all my male readers out there, jump on this band wagon!

the beanie is a winter necessity! i love this one because of its sparkles of gold, which makes it a bit more feminine.
